ALSAFWA CEMENT AND BTSI SIGNS AN MOU FOR MODERN CONSTRUCTION METHODS BY 3D PRINTERS
Al-Safwa Cement Company and Building Technology Stimulus Initiative of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish joint cooperation between the two parties with aim of exploring strategic solutions and services to improve enhance building quality and speed of building housing units And support the private sector in the fields of research within the fourth generation technologies by using 3D printers to build housing units through conducting trials for cement mixes from local materials.
The importance of research in modern technologies for construction sector is in line with the 2030vision, to serve the vision’s major projects, which are based on sustainable development by preserving the environment, reducing costs and construction waste, and speed up execution of construction projects for housing units to reach to few days instead of months.
Al-Safwa Cement Company also contributes to many sustainability projects, including the industrial waste recycling project, the recycling of carbon ashes and the recycling of used tires, which are all considered as alternative energy fuels to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and support environmental initiatives
